Tara sa Camotes!

Camotes Islands is a group of islands in the Camotes SeaPhilippines. The combined area is 236.36 kilometers (146.87 mi). The island group is located east of Cebu Island, southwest of Leyte Island, and north of Bohol Island.

The most visited place is Tulang Diot. It is part of Barangay Esperanza of San Francisco Town, Pacijan Island. Tulang is an islet but the locals divided it into two places: Tulang Diot and Tulang Dako. The water is soooo clear with white sand.

There is a lot of caves in Camotes namely: Amazing Island Cave, Heaven Cave, Timub Cave, Bukilat Cave but the one that I love the most is Paraiso Cave – a 5-foot deep natural freshwater pool about a size of a badminton court.

Santiago beach. This is a public beach, one of the famous beaches in Camotes, has the widest beach on the island. It’s not just a beach, it’s a white sand beach with a long shoreline that stretches as far as you can walk.

Forest Aisle is your pathway going to Lake Danao.

Lake Danao. The lake has a shape of a guitar whose park is the entry point in accessing the lake itself. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the island.

How do I get to Camotes?
There are several ways to get to Camotes Island. Go to Pier 1 and take the Oceanjet Ferry going to Poro Port. It will be a two-hour boat ride onboard a fast craft. Go to Pier 2 and ride an Aznar boat bound for Poro Port runs for four hours in a slow boat but compared to the first option, the fare here is cheaper. Or take Jomalia Shipping via Danot port.
